Given the current climate, we want to empower couples to create a celebration worthy of their love. As we continue to see more elopements, intimate ceremonies and courthouse weddings.. we have curated pre-designed, *all inclusive*, easily bookable packages on @wedy.app with hand-selected pros.

Eloping can be so much more than a secret trip to Vegas or the courthouse now -- with smaller, intimate weddings on the rise, your elopement can be a one day, two day, or even week-long affair! Even though Texas may not be the first place you think of when you think “Elope,” we think it should be! With so many gorgeous and diverse landscapes to offer, the Lone Star State is sure to have something for every couple. We’ve picked some of our favorite places in Texas to elope, so all you have to do is choose one and say “I do!”

1. Monahans Sandhills State Park

Stunning sand dunes in Texas? YAAAS! Head West and explore the nearly 4000-acres of rolling, wind-sculpted Sandhills that are sure to offer your elopement a gorgeous and unique look.

Up for a bit of an adventure? These sprawling mountains and valleys of sand are always changing. With no marked trails, you’re free to explore the desertscape as much as you’d like. You can go camping, horseback riding, or even sledding down the dunes! Sand disks are available for rent, but hey--if you just want to roll down the hills, we won’t judge ;)

2. Big Bend National Park

Your wedding day can symbolize the beginning of your next lifelong adventure with your partner, so why not kick off this new journey together with an adventurous elopement through one of Texas’ most magical locations? Even if your ceremony isn’t Big, your wedding still can be! Big Bend, that is.

Big Bend is hands down one of Texas’ most incredible locations. Pick from a myriad of views to set the scene for your big day: mountain views, canyons, hot springs, desert, rivers, wildlife, or even the endless starry night sky. With so much to see and do, you could easily make this a week-long elopement adventure! You could even go on a 2-3 day trek on camelback! Talk about a wedding to remember.

3. Gruene Estate

If you’re looking for a chapel wedding with a twist, this is the venue for you. Tucked in the Texas Hill Country, about an hour away from Austin, is Gruene Estate. This historic property features a charming open-air chapel and pavilion surrounded by 17-acres of nature.

Bring in the outdoors as you say “I do” in the gorgeous, airy chapel with exposed rafters, stained glass, and antique crystal chandeliers. Then, head over to the pavilion for a night of dancing, or play some fun games of cornhole and bocce on the sprawling lawns. This charming venue features the perfect blend of fresh nature and vintage views for the rustic yet modern elopement of your dreams.

4. Rockport Beach

Dreaming of that magical sunset moment on the shore? Your elopement can glow in golden hour at beautiful Rockport beach. Beyond the breathtaking views you can find at this coastal gem, you can feel safe taking a dip in the waters of Texas’ only “blue wave beach” -- meaning it’s certified to be safe and clean for swimming, with responsible management to maintain human and environmental health. Sweet!

As a lesser-known beach in Texas, this is an ideal spot for an intimate exchange of vows. Plus, with tons of options for lodging like camping, hotels, or bed and breakfasts, is there really any excuse not to go?
